Lauren’s Foundation was formed in 2005 in memory of Lauren Fitzgerald, a 20 year old Wyomissing, PA resident and Drexel University student. The Foundation promotes public awareness of community health issues and provides financial relief and assistance in accordance with our mission.

I built this website to help Lauren’s Foundation to get the word out about their cause. The project relied heavily on MODx to create a customized CMS that is now managed by Lauren’s parents.

I was contacted to design a website for Deanna Reuben, a jazz vocalist from Reading, Pennsylvania. The website features her albums, photos of her performances, reviews of her work, and information about her upcoming work.

I was contacted to build a website for Vertex Manufacturing, a manufacturer of precision CNC machined components from Reading, Pennsylvania. The project required a robust 25+ page custom website built entirely from scratch in WordPress. Every aspect of this website from the two-tiered navigation, the homepage slider, footer contact form, and request for quote forms was hand coded by me. It was quite a large project, but in the end I gained a lot of experience with WordPress.

The Switzerland website was a project I completed in high school. I worked with an exchange student, Cyrill Schoenenberger, from Switzerland to make this website. We worked for about 2 weeks to re-design a website he had built earlier in the year. We kept his overall layout, but I re-designed all the graphics and code. The site showcases the country’s history, geography, culutre, government, leisure activities, and food. Cyrill designed the flash photo gallery.

We wanted to make the site accessible to both English speaking students, as well as German speaking students. I helped him translate the site from German to English. Luckily, I have taken about 4 years of German, so I was able to understand much of what he wrote.

The purpose of this website was to create an educational website about Switzerland that Cyrill and I could enter into the Pennsylvania High School Computer Fair. We ended up winning second place.

It was a great experience to work with someone with a different cultural background and to learn about his country. I enjoyed teaching Cyrill how to design websites, and it was awesome to see someone as excited about a website project as I was.

This website was created for a Technology Student Association competition called Cyberspace Pursuit. The competition requires a team of 3 to 5 to create a website for their Technology Education Department which includes information about classes and teachers. An essay about technological literacy and information about courses and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) was also required. The website is currently used by the Technology Education Department.

The website won 1st place at the regional and state TSA competitions.

Bryan Mull contacted me about working on a website for American Dental Solutions. This was largely a web development project involving HTML/CSS, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL.

Here’s a list of what I did:

• Rebuilt the navigation
• Added a homepage slider
• Built a request an appointment form in PHP
• Integrated a PHP/MySQL store locator
• Integrated LivePerson, a chat service

I created this multimedia project for school in 2009. We were given 8 weeks to create a multimedia presentation about a notable figure, event, or anything else we could think of.

I thought it would be a lot of fun to create a project that would showcase one of my favorite rock bands. I wanted to share with my classmates a style of music that I enjoy in a way that would “wow” them.

I finished the layout and animation in about 2 and a half weeks. I then spent some time adding music and improving the depth of content in the timeline and discography.

I had plans to enter this in the Pennsylvania High School Computer Fair, but I couldn’t get written approval for all the trademarks, songs, and pictures, so I would have been disqualified.

I was contacted to re-build a website for Kristina Smith Interiors, an interior decorator from Reading, Pennsylvania. When I looked over the website, there were images missing, broken links, and the blog was just a PHP error. I rebuilt the site from scratch using WordPress, and incorporated the graphics from her previous site. I added her old blog posts and added the images to her photo gallery.
